The LARRS Main Program Schedule Page
Every single day of the week LARRS volunteers make a difference.
The station began broadcasting two hours a day in 1995. Now it broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week. LARRS community volunteers read news and feature stories from local newspapers for those who cannot. Other programming, taped in advance or provided by satellite from a supplying network, includes readings from Spanish–language newspapers, the New Yorker magazine, National Geographic, U.S. News and World Report, best–selling books, science fiction and mystery novels.
There’s a show on parenting and the ever–popular “On The Town” program, a weekly roundup of local community and cultural events plus current entertaiment and health news, hosted by Jody Kepple and Ken Metz.
LARRS volunteers read every day in a program broadcast via a closed–circuit frequency through KCSN FM Radio (88.5), the public radio station at Cal State Northridge.
